United Hurricanes annex AKG crown with sencesnal win by 8 runs
KARACHI: Strom worriers lifted the Aga Khan Gymkhana Premier League Season ,02 title when they beat United Hurricanes sencesnal by 8 runs in the final at the AKG Ground here on yesterday.
Strom worriers reached 186-5 after asked to bat first with Mir Naseeb Noor Ali smashing a hurricane 82 off 56 balls with, eight fours and two sixes, Ubaid Rehman blasting two fours and two sixes in a 24-ball knock of 36,Jalal Ullah contributing 20 runs.
Median pacer Pervaiz Ali grabbed two wickets for just two runs, while Deedar Akbar, Awais Ullah Baig and Zahid Iqbal took one wicket each.
United Hurricanes, in reply, ended up totalling 178-10 in allotted 20 overs Aameer Qureshi was top scorer with 67 off 39 balls, with four boundaries and thee sixes while Pervaiz Ali contributed 37 off 29 balls with five fours and one six,
Asad Ali Khowaja and Shayna Ali captured three wickets for 3-12, and 3-27 runs did the damage done, Awais Ullah Baig too k 2-8 while Skipper Hamid Ali and Muhammad Shoaib took one wicket each.
