Pak Veterans Club (Green) emerged title winners in the Jotun Hult Ramadan Floodlight Masters Hockey Tournament, defeating Blues in a thrilling final decided through penalty strokes.
The championship match saw an intense battle between Pak Veterans Club (Green) and Blues, with the latter putting up a strong fight.
The final score after regular time was 4-4, leading to a penalty shootout where Pak Veterans Club (Green) secured the title.
Olympian Sameer Hussain was the top scorer of the tournament with 15 goals. Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the players. Renowned hockey personalities, including Olympians Islahuddin Siddiqui and Rahat Javed, were present at the event.
Special recognition was given to Sheila and the tournament management team for their contributions.
The closing ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Olympians Khawaja Junaid, Tauqeer Dar, and Mansoor Ahmed, along with Sindh Hockey Association Secretary Syed Al Hasan, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, former international players, and government representatives.
In his address, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized the need for increased government support and investment in hockey. He praised the contributions of former players and urged continued efforts to revive Pakistan’s standing in the sport.
