Inter-Divisional Women’s Hockey Championship: Karachi Players Selected
Training camp for the selected players begins today; Championship starts from April 18
Karachi ; Karachi Women’s Hockey Association has announced the players selected for the Karachi team to participate in the Inter-Divisional Sindh Women’s Hockey Championship scheduled to be held in Karachi.
The selection was made after two-day trials held at the Islahuddin Hockey Academy. The trials were supervised by Karachi Women’s Hockey Association Coordinator Shaheen Fatima, with assistance from Zarqa Ruby, Saeeda Khanum, Shaheen Sultana and others.
The players selected after the trials include:
Goalkeepers: Musfira Arshad, Hania Rashid ; Players: Humaira Niaz, Umaima Khan, Fatima Noor, Ayesha Nadeem, Mubashra H. Furqan, Anusha Intizar, Sahiba Ali, Areesha Meraj, Kishwar Mai, Muqaddas Rafiq,
Yumna Khan, Laraib Parveen, Rashida Fatima, Iffat Zahra, Saima Ghulam, Tayyaba, Muskan Rafiq, Musfira Furqan, and Sehrish Sabir.
The selected players will join the training camp starting today (Tuesday) at the Islahuddin Academy Hockey Ground. They have been instructed to report to Camp Commandant Saeeda Khanum at 4:30 PM today.
It is noteworthy that the Inter-Divisional Sindh Women’s Hockey Championship will commence on April 18 at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium.
