Karachi ; The fourth Image Torsum Khan PSA Satellite Squash Championship has entered its final stages. The finals of all three categories will be played on Monday.
According to tournament director Naveed Alam, Abdullah Nawaz of WAPDA outclassed Israr Ahmed of Sui Northern Gas Company 3-0 at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex on Sunday.
Abdullah won 13-11, 11-4 and 11-7 in 32 minutes. In the second semi-final, Muhammad Ammad of Pakistan Air Force defeated Anas Ali Shah of Army 11-9 and 11-8.
Anas Ali Shah could not continue the game due to injury in the third game and withdrew.
In the semi-finals of the women’s category, Sameera Shahid defeated Wania Tahir, while Nimra Batool won against Zunaira Imran. In the under-14 boys, Tahoor Tahir defeated Raaid Bin Zeeshan.
Fazal Rahman defeated Sudais Paracha to make it to the finals. All the finals in the $1,000 prize money event will be played on Monday.
The Under-14 Boys’ competition will be held at 3 pm, the Women’s competition at 4 pm and the Men’s competition at 5 pm.
Former world champion Jahangir Khan and Image Pakistan CEO Asad Ahmed will be the chief guests at the prize distribution ceremony.
