AWF Celebrates World Table Tennis Day with Grand Ceremony in Peshawar

Peshawar ; The Absar Welfare Foundation (AWF), in collaboration with the ITTF Foundation celebrated World Table Tennis Day (WTTD) with a week-long series of inclusive and dynamic table tennis activities.

This annual celebration, recognized globally, was held in with joint efforts of RSO Peshawar, District Administration Peshawar, KP Table Tennis Association, and Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF).

This theme was the Unified Table Tennis Competition, a pioneering initiative where each team was composed of one male, one female, and one para-athlete. the innovative format promoted inclusion, acceptance, and diversitybeautifully aligning with this year’s WTTD theme.

The event was graced Rahat Mian, Chairman, Absar Welfare Foundation (Chief Guest), RSO Peshawar Kashif Farhan, Chief Coach Shafqat Ullah, Deputy President, Pakistan Table Tennis Federation Kitan, Treasurer,

PTTF Kifayat Ullah Khan, Table Tennis Promoter (Merged Districts) Akhtar Rasool, KP Table Tennis Coach Amina Mahmood, and KP Table Tennis Coach Mian Absar Ali and other guests.

In addition to the Unified event, a variety of fun and engaging activities were organized including Mini Ping Pong, Cross-Country Table Tennis, Teq Pong, Target Basket, Bounce the Balls, and many more, encouraging players of all ages and abilities to take part.

The celebration also featured a ceremonial cake-cutting, honoring World Table Tennis Day, and a grand lucky draw, where professional sports equipment was distributed among participating players.

The atmosphere was filled with joy, unity, and the spirit of the game, connecting participants across age, gender, and ability. Speaking at the closing ceremony,

Mian Absar Ali expressed pride in AWF’s consistent efforts, stating that “Just like previous years, we aim to win the title of the World’s Best Table Tennis Day celebration and make Pakistan proud.

Through our Unified Sports initiative, we are committed to spreading the message of equality and acceptance across the globe
