Pakistan Makes Promising Start at Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2025 in Jordan

Karachi: The Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2025 officially opened in Amman with a grand inauguration ceremony attended by leading sports figures and dignitaries from across Asia.

His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Nasser Mirza, President of the Jordan Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and Mr. Fahad Ali Al Shamsi,

General Secretary of the Ju-Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU), paid special tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Ayah bint Faisal and Brigadier General Anwar Al-Tarawneh for their exceptional contributions to the growth of Ju-Jitsu in Jordan and throughout the region.

Following the opening ceremony, Team Pakistan delivered a commendable performance on Day 1, securing two bronze medals in the Adult category:
• Duo Men: M. Ali Rashid & M. Yousuf Ali
• Duo Women: Isra Waseem & Kainat Arif

Officials from the Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation (PJJF) praised the athletes for their discipline, skill, and strong showing on the international stage.

The championship concluded with a one-day closing ceremony, where Tariq Ali, Secretary General of the South Asian Regional Ju-Jitsu Association and Secretary General of the Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation, was present as an official delegate, representing Pakistan at the regional leadership level.

The championship continues through May 26, featuring elite athletes from across Asia in one of the continent’s most prestigious martial arts competitions
