Pakistan Shines at Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2025 –

U21 Category two Silver Medals for Muhammad Yousaf and Umar Yaseen

Karachi: Team Pakistan delivered a stellar performance at the Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2025, showcasing exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship among Asia’s best in Amman, Jordan.

On the final day of the championship, Muhammad Yousaf and Umar Yaseen secured two silver medals in the Duo and Show Man categories, further elevating Pakistan’s status on the Asian martial arts stage.

Notably, Muhammad Yousaf and Umar Yaseen competed in the U21 age group category this year. Last year, they made headlines by becoming Asian Champions 2024 in the U18 category. Their transition to the U21 level came with intensified training and greater focus — and their silver medal victory reflects their dedication, growth, and rising stature in Asian Ju-Jitsu.

Earlier in the championship:
• M. Bano Kusar clinched a gold medal.
• M. Ali Rashid and M. Yousuf Ali secured a bronze medal in the Adult Duo Men category.
• Isra Waseem and Kainat Arif each earned bronze medals in the Duo and Show Women categories, respectively.

In total, Team Pakistan bagged six medals: 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze, competing against over 800 athletes from 27 countries.

Mr. Khalil Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation, expressed his pride in the team’s achievement:

These medals are not just wins they are a testament to the global caliber of Pakistani Ju-Jitsu athletes. We are immensely proud of our fighters, coaches, and support staff whose relentless efforts have made this moment possible.”

Representing Pakistan at the official closing ceremony, Mr. Tariq Ali, Secretary General of both the South Asian Regional Ju-Jitsu Association and the Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation, stated:

This championship marks a defining moment in the rise of Ju-Jitsu in South Asia especially Pakistan. The courage, dedication, and talent of our youth and female athletes are truly commendable.

For the past 15 years, Pakistan has consistently held a strong international ranking, and we remain committed to taking our sport to even greater heights.”
