Dazhou, China: In the U-18 Men’s Asia Cup being played in the city of Dazhou, China, Pakistan secured a convincing 8-0 victory over Hong Kong China.
For Pakistan, Hassan, Abdullah, and Muhammad Farooq scored two goals each, while Aamir Sohail and Muhammad Zaman scored one goal apiece. By the end of the match, the Hong Kong China team failed to score any goals.
President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti, and Secretary General Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali Khan congratulated the national U-18 team on their first victory of the tournament and extended best wishes for the upcoming matches.
Pakistan will play its second match against Sri Lanka on July 6, followed by matches against Bangladesh on July 8 and China on July 9 in the final group fixture.
