Turkish envoy congratulates Pakistan on successful Goalball Championships

ISLAMABAD, Oct 21: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Irfan Naziroglu has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Pakistan Blind Sports Federation (PBSF) on the successful conduct of the IBSA Asia-Pacific Goalball Championships 2025, describing sports as an effective medium to promote friendship and healthy activities among nations.

He said Turkiye was keen to further strengthen sporting ties with Pakistan through mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise, adding that such collaborations foster unity, inclusivity, and peace.

President of the PBSF, Muhammad Waqas Warraich, is expected to visit Turkiye soon to explore avenues for deeper engagement in blind sports development.

The Turkish envoy expressed the hope that Pakistan would continue hosting more international sporting events, providing its athletes with greater exposure and opportunities to excel on the global stage.

He assured that Turkiye would continue to support PBSF and other initiatives aimed at empowering persons with disabilities through sports.

Senator Danesh Kumar graced the occasion as chief guest at the concluding ceremony, while Thailandโ€™s Ambassador to Pakistan, Rongvudhi Virabutr, and officials from the Iranian Embassy were also present. The dignitaries distributed medals among the top-performing athletes and lauded their exceptional performances.
