Punjab Sports Department is organizing top sports events under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister: Director General Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry
LAHORE : 13th Inter-School & Inter-College Games 2025 concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the Punjab Stadium on Friday. Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry was the chief guest on this occasion.
Director Admin Abid Shaukat, several notable sports personalities including Idris Haider Khawaja from Punjab Olympic Association, Arshad Sattar from wrestling association, Mian Rizwan from dodgeball association, director sports from various schools and colleges and a large number of male and female athletes were also present on this occasion. Punjab Olympic Association CEO Idris Haider Khawaja also presented a souvenir to DG Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry.
Students took part in a disciplined march past at the largely attended closing ceremony. Besides this, several impressive performances such as gymnastics and aerobics were also presented to amuse the large gathering. Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry distributed trophies to the winning teams of schools and colleges.
Talking to media, Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry congratulated the Punjab Olympic Association for organising the excellent event of the Inter-School and Inter-College Games. “Pakistan’s great Olympic gold medal winning javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem also did his practice at the Punjab Stadium. I am sure many of these children will emerge as future sports stars in their respective games”.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that Punjab Sports Department has been awarding scholarships to best sportspersons from Punjab Sports Endowment Fund. “More than 100 players are being given monthly stipends of Rs 70,000, Rs 50,000, and Rs 30,000”.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said Punjab Sports Department is organizing top sports events and building best sports infrastructure under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister. “Sports facilities are being expanded at Nishtar Park Sports Complex. In this regard, Secretary Sports Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial has visited the sites and projects of Climbing Wall, Padel Tennis Courts and Board Games Arena”.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that best steps are being taken for the development of sports under the leadership of Provincial Sports Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar. “The next Inter-School & Inter-College Games will be even bigger”.
