70th National Track Championship successfully concluded
Lahore — The 70th National Track Championship successfully concluded its second day of competition today, delivering high-impact performances and strong stakeholder engagement.
Day one comprised six events primarily focused on individual categories. Day two expanded the competitive landscape with seven events, featuring team races, individual time trials, and sprint disciplines. Detailed results for today’s events are attached for reference and record-keeping.
A key highlight of the day was the participation of Lt. Col. Naeem Usman gilgat batistan scout and Mrs. Curtina, a professional cyclist from Belgium, who travelled from Belgium alongside her husband to witness the championship.
Both guests observed the track events and commended the Pakistan Cycling Federation’s commitment and resilience in hosting a national-level hampionship on a challenging and high-risk velodrome. They also participated in the medal-awarding ceremony, recognizing the outstanding performance of the athletes.
During the official prize distribution ceremony, Lt. Col. Naeem Usman presented medals and certificates to successful competitors.
On this occasion, Syed Azhar Ali Shah, President of the Pakistan Cycling Federation, formally acknowledged and appreciated the support extended by Rescue 1122, Nishile Water, and McDonnell, whose contributions were instrumental in ensuring seamless event operations.
