District Peshawar Female Open ITF Taekwondo Championship Concludes with Thrilling Finals and Outstanding Performances
PESHAWAR: The District Peshawar Female Open ITF Taekwondo Championship concluded on a high note as the closing ceremony witnessed electrifying bouts, fierce competition, and emotional moments on the final day.
The championship not only highlighted the growing strength of women’s taekwondo in the district but also provided a vibrant platform for young female athletes to display their skill, discipline, and determination.
The final matches were marked by intensity and aggression as the finalists fought hard for gold medals, drawing applause from spectators and officials alike. A total of six teams participated in the championship, reflecting the increasing popularity of ITF Taekwondo among female athletes in Peshawar.
HSC Warrior Girls Team emerged as the overall champions by securing first position with an impressive tally of three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal. Shining Stars Martial Arts Academy claimed second position with three gold medals and one silver medal, while Queen Cobras Peshawar B Team finished at third position after strong performances throughout the event.
Medals, trophies, cash prizes, certificates, and gifts were distributed among the winning athletes during the closing ceremony. The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, Rana Sadaqat, President of the All Pakistan International Taekwondo Federation.
He was accompanied by prominent guests, including Grand Master Rahimullah Habibi, Master Mujeeb ur Rehman, Dr. Usman Amin, President KP ITF Association Umer Khitab, General Secretary KP ITF Association Ajmal Khan, and Chairman KP ITF Naveed Habibi, along with Jaffar Chohan, who jointly encouraged the players and appreciated their performances.
Speaking on the occasion, the organizers emphasized that the championship aimed to promote ITF Taekwondo at the grassroots level and to empower female athletes by providing them with competitive exposure and recognition. They expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the event and the enthusiastic participation of teams.
The District Peshawar Female Open ITF Taekwondo Championship concluded as a resounding success, leaving behind strong hopes for the future growth of women’s martial arts in the region.
