Lahore :The selectors for the Pakistan cricket team’s tour of England have started preliminary consultations on the names of potential players.
The final consultation will take place after the Eid holidays and the names of 30 potential players are likely to be announced.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently busy preparing for the tour of England. In this regard, two days ago, the PCB also briefed the players and informed them about its plan.
Assuring that the health and safety of the cricketers would not be compromised, the APCB announced that the training of cricketers was being planned in early June, all the procedures for the training were being worked out and apparently It looks like the cricketers will train in groups and for that the National Cricket Academy will be made safe in every way.
The selectors have started a preliminary consultation on who will be the potential players for the training camp, while the final consultation will take place after the Eid holidays, with the names of potential players to be announced. ۔
Sources said that 30 potential players will be invited to the camp and the PCB is planning to send 25 players to England. The camp will be attended by all the 21 players included in the Central Contract 2020-21.
In addition, cricketers, including Fawad Alam, who have been part of the recent squads but are not included in the contract, will be called, including Muhammad Musa, Emad Butt, Khushdal Shah and Usman Qadir.
Sources said that consultations are also being held regarding Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez.
The postponement of the T20 World Cup could weaken the case of Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez. Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz were not included in the T20 series against Bangladesh but now Mohammad Amir can be included in the possible players.
Before the training, there will be code 19 tests for all cricketers, sports staff and concerned people.
