PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judo Association (KPJA) has launched training camps across the province including newly merged tribal districts for the promotion of the game. In the firts phase, training camps are organizing in D.I Khan, Kohat and Bannue. The two day training camp in D.I Khan launched on Saturday in which judo players from Waziristan , Taank, Bannue and adjecent areas participated in a large number. The main purpose and aim of these training capms are to find out the talent from grassroot level ang bring them at national and internatiinal level.
Similarly, the next two day camp will be orgainzed in district Bannue from 28-29 December while district Kohat will host the camp in 30-31 December.
Masood Ahmad, general secretary of KPJA talking to media persons regarding the training camps said that the participated male and female judo players would be trained by the national and international judo coches. He said that the association has compiled a best policy aimed at promoting the game and finding out the talented players. He expressed hope that the trainings would be very helpful in bringing the talented judo players for the ongoing U-21 games and also for national and international tournaments.
