Karachi Hyundai Xteer defeated Highbrow College (1-0) to clinch Leisure Leagues Winter CUP 2021 in a thrilling small-sided football game which was held at Dreamworld Resort, Karachi. The match displayed talent from not only within the city but from other regions as well. Two team Abdullah Academy & Baluch Club Surab joined from Khuzdar & Surab, Baluchistan to participate in the Leisure Leagues Winter Cup 2021.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament. The teams were Hyundai Xtreer, Highbrow College, Rayden College, Maniyas School System, Karachi Hawks, Baloch Surab Club, Abdullah Academy and Dreamworld.
The tournament was knockout based format with the first round having two-legged fixtures. Meanwhile the remaining Semi-finals and the final had single leg fixtures.
Khayam from Hyundai Xteer was adjudged as the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament for scoring 3 goals in the tournament and driving his team to win the title. Moreover, Ayan Ali was nominated as the Best Goalkeeper from Hyundai Xteer for Keeping Clean Sheets throughout the tournament.
Khuram Shah CSD Head and Director of World Group Brig. Nusrat Hayat were the guests of honor on the occasion.
Asif Meraj Executive Manager & Maaz Khan Digital Media Manager from Leisure Leagues and Talha Jafry Marketing Manager, Tauseef Ali Baig Facility & Recreational Head, Ali Jaffary also attended the Winter Cup 2021 on behalf of the organizing bodies.
