Georgetown: Hasan Ali while talking to the media in a virtual media conference from Georgetown, Guyana pinned hopes on the Pakistan team making a fresh start in the ICC World Test Championship. He said, “We want to start the new ICC World Test Championship campaign with a win.”
The right-arm pacer expressed his disappointment on not getting a chance to bowl to West Indies batsmen in the T20I series due to rain, but said he was looking forward to expressing himself in the two-match Test series which starts next week.
He said: “We are looking forward for the Test series. I will try to carry my form forward as my previous series with the red ball was also a good one.”
When asked about the bowlers’ performances being not up to the mark in recent time, Hasan said, “Our bowling unit has given some good performances in the past. The coaches have trust in our abilities, we as a bowling unit have trust in our abilities and we are looking forward to doing well in the forthcoming matches.”
When asked how does he see the bowlers performing in the West Indian conditions, Hasan responded, “Look we have Yasir Shah back in the side along with Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah. We have good bowlers in our team who can perform well in these conditions.”
