The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today revealed that upcoming VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup, which opens this Friday, 29 July, in Tainan, will be broadcast in five of the participating 11 team’s territories, potentially reaching millions of viewers for the youth world championship.
Broadcast partners of the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup include networks and sports channels in the Americas and Asia:
- Mexico: Megacable, TVC Deportes
- Panama: COS
- Venezuela: ByM sports, SimpleTV, Meridiano Televisión
- Japan: J SPORTS
- Taiwan: Videoland, ELTA and LINE TODAY
Audiences worldwide can also follow the U-12 Baseball World Cup through WBSC’s exclusive online GameTime video platform, with select games to be available live and on-demand. The global tournament — which is officially For the Title of World Champion — will begin with a group stage from 29 July to 3 August:
- Group A: Chinese Taipei, Mexico, Venezuela, Italy, South Africa, Panama
- Group B: Japan, Korea, USA, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic
The top three finishers from each group will advance to the Super Round, which will run from 4-6 August. The Finals will be held on Sunday, 7 August.
The current home of the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup is the $130 million Tainan Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadium, which first hosted the youth world championship event in 2019.
