Sheikh Talal Fahad elected as Olympic Council of Asia President; POA President Syed Arif Hasan was felicitated as VP of the OCA.

Sheikh Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was elected as the President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the next four years, while the President of the Pakistan Olympic Association, Lt. Gen. R Syed Arif Hassan was elected as Vice President of OCA, in the 42nd assembly held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Olympic fraternity of Pakistan extended their heartfelt congratulations to the President of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), Lt. Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan on his re-election as Vice President of OCA.
In a joint statement, the Olympic family, various sports federations, organizers, athletes, and officials said, We applaud his continued commitment and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of sports in South Asia.
According to details, as many as 45 member countries associated with OCA participated in the meeting in Bangkok.
Secretary General of the Pakistan Olympic Association Khalid Mahmood also participated in the OCA General Council meeting.
