The first sports medicine clinic in the history of Punjab will be inaugurated in December.

Sports Board Punjab’s first ever Sports Medicine Clinic will be functional in the first week of Dec 2023: Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail

LAHORE (Nov 21, 2023): Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail on Tuesday has announced that Sports Board Punjab’s first ever Sports Medicine Clinic will be functional in the first week of Dec 2023. He said that the construction of SBP Sports Medicine Clinic has been completed and now this great health facility is ready for inauguration.

In this regard, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail visited Ghurki Hospital on Tuesday where Dr Naeem and other medical experts briefed him about the working of latest medical technology being utilized for the treatment of orthopedic patients.

During his visit, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail, who was accompanied by Deputy Director Tariq Khanzada and District Sports Officer Lahore Tanveer Shah, inspected various sections of Orthopedic Department and their working.

Talking on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that Sports Board Punjab’s unique Sports Medicine Clinic will be the first of its kind in the history of the province. “Definitely, it will be a great facility for all players and sports persons where they will get free treatment”.

Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the purpose of visit of Ghurki Hospital is to provide top standard medical facilities in SBP Sports Medicine Clinic. “Renowned health experts including orthopedic surgeons, psychologists, physiotherapists and nutritionists will be available for the quality treatment of all athletes who got injuries before, during and after sports competitions,” DG Sports Punjab explained.

Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail informed that free consultancy will be provided to players and coaches as well at SBP’s Sports Medicine Clinic. “The basic purpose of Sports Medicine Clinic is to provide best health facilities to Pakistan’s top athletes and ensure fully fit players for big sports events.
