Sindh Governor announces to start sports activities in the province
Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori said that there was a time when no team including cricket, football, and hockey was formed without the representation of Sindh, while the major part of this team was from Karachi.
But the neglect of the players in Karachi has led to disillusionment among them which has resulted in the youngsters
drifting away from the game and the fields becoming desolate. Now is the time to populate our fields once again so that players of Sindh can showcase their talents at national and international level.
Governor Sindh expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of sports lover, the delegation included Secretary General of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation, senior sports journalist Asghar Azeem, sports organizer Muhammad Naseem, former director of KDA Sports Ayaz Munshi and Javed Irshad were included.
At the occasion, Tessori hinted to organise the Governors Games in the province and said that through the Governor’s Games, the talented youth of the province will be provided an opportunity to express their talents.
‘We need to attract our youth towards positive activities so that our grounds are populated, the peaceful concept of the city is further highlighted, the doors of the Governor’s House are always open to encourage the players’, Governor added further.
Governor Sindh instructed Mohammad Naseem to restore the activities of The Point Cricket Academy and said that cricket activities should be started in the city through this academy.
