ISLAMABAD:- The finals of National Junior Squash Championship for Boys & Girls-2019 were played at Mushaf Squash Complex Islamabad. Air Vice Marshal Aamir Masood, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Training), who is also Senior Vice President of Pakistan Squash Federation was the chief guest on the occasion. A large number of squash enthusiasts and media representatives attended the ceremony.
The Chief Guest witnessed the final match of Under 19 Category, played between Zeeshan Zeb and Uzair Shaukat. Zeeshan Zeb won the Championship Trophy by beating Uzair Shaukat with the match score of 11/8, 11/13, 12/10, 8/11, 11/3. The match lasted for 49 minutes. The Chief Guest distributed prizes among the winners at the end of the ceremony.
Asad Ullah beat M Hamza Khan in U-17 category with the game score of 10/12, 11/9, 11/2, 11/3 while in Girls U-19 category Komal Khan beat Zaynab Khan with the game score of 11/9, 8/11, 11/7, 11/5. The Championship played from 19 to 23 September, 2019. Total 90 players comprising total 64 boys and 26 girls from all over the country participated in the championship in the categories of under 17, and 19 years. The tournament carries the PSA points in the respective categories.
