 Kohat lifted the overall trophy by grabbing nine gold medals, six silver medals with 132 points in the Kohat Region Inter-District Under-23 Male Games played here at scenic Kohat Sports Complex on Tuesday.
Kohat won gold medals in athletic, judo, wrestling, gymnastic, squash, basketball, badminton, hockey and silver in medal in Tennis, Karate, tug-of-war, kabbaddi and Table Tennis. Karak claimed second position Karak won five gold, in table tennis, karate, kabaddi, tennis, four silver medals in athletic, judo, gymnastic and one bronze in wrestling with 82 points and Hangu got third position by grabbing one gold tug of war, five silver in wrestling, squash, basketball, badminton and hockey and four bronze in karate, judo, gymnastic, and table tennis 65 points.
In the athletic event Kohat grabbed over all trophy by securing 41 points, followed by Karak with 36 points and Hangu secured 11 points by taking third position respectively. Kohat won four gold in 800m, discuss throw, javelin throw, shot put and long jump, three silver medals in 100m, 200m, 400m and 4X100 m reply with bronze medal in discuss throw, javelin throw, shot put.
Karak won gold medal in 100m, 200m, 400m, javelin throw and 4X100m relay, silver medal in discuss throw and bronze medal in 100m, 200m, and long jump by securing 36 points and Hangu won silver medals in 800m, javelin throw and shot put and bronze medal in 500m, 800m, and long jump and recorded 11 points.
In the shot put event Rahim of Kohat won gold medal with 33.6feet, Wisal with 32.10 of Hangu and Rafique with 32. 9 got silver and bronze medals respectively. In 200m Ihtisham of Karak won gold medal, followed by Noor Azam of Kohat, Khalid Karak, in Discuss throw Rafique Kohat 89.2 m got gold medal, followed by Imran Khan of Karak with 86.4feet and 83feet of Rahim of Kohat got third, in Javelin throw Ahmad Islam 163.9 feet of Karak got first, followed by Adnan of Hangu with 145.6 and Sohail of Kohat with 135.5feet, in Long Jump Rafique of Kohat won gold medal with 17.3 feet, followed by Noor Azam of Kohat with 16.5 and Khalid of Karak with 15.10, in 4X100 m relay Karak gold first, followed by Kohat and Hangu. In 800m Ihsan Ul Haq of Kohat won gold medal, followed by Atta Ullah of Hangu and Hazrat Bilal of Hangu, in 100m Ihtisham of Karak won gold medal, Noor Azam of Kohat won silver medal and Salman of Karak won bronze medal.
In the 400m Salman of Karak won gold medal, followed by Rehman Kohat silver medal and Hazrat Bilal of Hangu won bronze medal. In the Tennis Karak upset start studded Kohat by 2-0. Karak Mehran and Irfan beat Mobeen and Kamran  of Hangu while Karak beat Kohat when Faisal Rehman beat Irfan by 6-1, 6-1 and Fahat Rehman beat Mehren 6-3, 6-4.
In the kabbaddi event Kohat beat Hangu by 15-9 while in the final Karak beat Kohat by 22-20. In Karate Karak won 13 gold against Kohat won by 8 gold, in Judo Kohat won six gold, two silver and Karak took two gold and silver medals.
Kohat defeated Hangu and Karak in the wrestling event and won gold medal, the wrestlers of Kohat comprising Irfan, Khushal Khan, Muhammad Zubair, M. Talha, M. Ihsan and Ijaz recorded victories against Umair Khan of Hangu, Shahzeb, Abdul Basit, Wadood Khan, Huzafam Naeem Ullah, while Mobeen defeated Kohat’s Gul Riaz.
In Gymnastic Kohat with 50.70 points got first position, followed by Karak with 42 points and Hangu remained third with 26.80 point.
Member Provincial Assembly Zia Ullah Bangash was the chief guest on this occasion who gave away trophies, gold, silver and bronze medal and cash prizes of Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 15000. DG Sports Junaid Khan, Director Operation KP Syed Saqlain Shah, Director Development Salim Raza, AD Sports Niamat Ullah, Munir Abbas, AD Development, District Sports Officer Zakir Ullah, Provincial Coach Shafqat Ullah, DSO Kohat Syed Sikander Shah, Naveed (DSO Hangu), Ismail Khan (DSO Karak) and large number of spectators were also present.

 Kohat District clinched the overall trophy after securing 10 gold medals and two silver medals in the 13 different events part of the KP Kohat Region Under-23 Inter-District Female Games which concluded here at Kohat Sports Complex on Saturday.
Kohat won gold medals in Tug-of-war, judo, netball, table tennis, handball, cricket, squash, basketball, badminton, and athletics while taking silver medals in volleyball, and hockey. District Hangu grabbed two gold medals and seven bronze medals. Hangu won gold medal in volleyball and hockey while claimed silver medals in tug-of-war, judo, netball, cricket, basketball, and baseball.
District Karak got third position with one gold and four silver medals. Karak upset both Kohat and Hangu in the baseball final besides taking silver medal in athletics, badminton, handball, table tennis.
In the table tennis final Kohat players Lawayza, Bahisth, Mehreen recorded victory against Karak team comprising Aysha, Gullalai, and Sadaf in the final. All the singles decided in straight sets. In the baseball final Karak defeated Hangu by 7-6 in thrilling match. Hangu scored six runs for the loss of as many players but Karak chased the target by scoring 7 runs with loss of two players.
In the hockey final Hangu defeated Kohat by 4-0 in a one-sided affair. Hangu dominated the proceedings and did not give much time to Kohat to settle down. Humaira, Sheema, Somya and Bushra scored one goal each on the field attempt.
Earlier, Hangu also defeated Karak by 2-0 when Sumiya and Sheema scored one goal each by guiding team to the grand final. In Squash Hangu defeated Karak by 3-0, Hure Jawad, Fatima Bibi, Ayman Khan recorded victory against Dil Awais, Momina Iqbal and Hooria Bukhari.
In the Netball final Hangu beat Karak by 6-3 and in the final Kohat, the last time winner, defeated Hangu by 7-4. Fatima, Sahabat, Idwa and Anbum scored two goals each while Aneeta Nasir scored one goal. For Hangu Afsheen Naz, Irum, Javeria scored one goal each.
In the Judo, Kohat won the first position when Laiba of Kohat won gold medal by defeating Khansa of Hangu in the final of the -36kg weight, Marwa of Kohat won gold medal while Feroza of Hangu got silver medal in -40kg, in -44kg Salma won gold medal after defeating Hina of Hangu, in -48kg weight Nadia of Kohat won gold medal against Shamsa of Hangu. In -52kg weight Ishrat of Kohat beat Aysha of Hangu by taking gold medal, in the -57kg weight Sehrish of Koaht won gold medal, Sairial of Hango won silver medal. In -63kg Jajiha of Kohat won gold medal against Nafisa of Hangu. National player Nadia in the opening weight category defeated Aysha of Hangu in the final. Kohat took first position, followed by Hangu.
At the end, Director Female Games KP Miss Rashida Ghaznavi gave away Rs. 20,000, certificates and trophy to the winners and Rs. 15000 to Hangu along with certificates and trophy.
