BS Sports to sponsor cricket equipment for PCB Pathway Programme

Lahore, 6 September 2022:

The Pakistan Cricket Board and BS Sports today signed a year-long MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) for delivery of cricket equipment and playing kits to the participants of the PCB Pathway Programme. More than 100 players are involved in the first batch of the programme which is currently underway at the National High Performance Centre, Lahore.

The partnership between PCB and BS Sports will focus on ensuring the distribution of top-quality cricket gear (playing kits and equipment) for the PCB Pathway Programme participants. BS Sports is recognised as one of the top cricket equipment providers in the country, their equipment has been used by a number of top Pakistan and international players.

Chairman PCB Ramiz Raja: “We have successfully launched the PCB Pathway Programme with a talent pool of 100 players. These players are receiving top-quality cricket coaching from local and foreign coaches besides work on their life skills, eating habits and education.

“I would like to thank BS Sports for their support of the programme. We have succeeded in attracting some of the top brands and business houses in the country who are all committed to the future of Pakistan cricket.

“Through this initiative we are confident of producing the next generation of superstars, our vision is to invest in our youngsters and leave no stone unturned in their preparation and training.”

Meanwhile the U13 and U16 participants of the PCB Pathway Programme worked with local and foreign coaches for nearly two weeks. Following the completion of their camp, the players have returned home.

From the ongoing week, the camp is focused on players above 16 and below 19 years of age. These players also include the top-performers of the national U19 one-day and three-day tournaments played in the ongoing domestic cricket season.

6th Students Olympic Games 2022 commences

Pakistan Students Olympic Association will organized 6th Students Olympic Games 2022, at Karachi.

This was stated by President, Pakistan Students Olympic Association, Maqbool Arian.

14 competitions of various sports games, will be played namely Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Fustal, Table Tennis, Throwball, Skating, Teakwando, Rope Skipping, gymnastic , Netball, and Volleyball. The games will be continue till september 30, at the end of the games, prizes distribution ceremony will be held in which Trophies, cash award and certificates will be distributed.

The games wil be played under the auspices of

Pakistan Students Olympic Association in collaboration with Whales Colleges at Mini Sports Complex, Nazimabad Karachi and PSB Karachi.

The biggest sports event in the history of Pakistan Amateur Olympia 2022

Karachi: The CEO of International Fitness Expo Arif Mirza said that the biggest sports event in the history of Pakistan will be held the following year, the Amateur Olympia Body Building event will be held in August at Islamabad around the following year, the two-day event will be inaugurated on 13th and 14th of August at Pak-China Center Islamabad, nations including India, a total of 80 countries with more than 300 body builders will participate, Internationally renown Body Builders Roelly Winkler and Tom Coleman will also be adding glory to this event by posing as special guests of this event.

Arif Mirza said that, this a golden opportunity for the body building participants to win pro-cards in three main categories; Men’s Body Building, Men’s Physique, and Men’s Classic Physique respectively, in each category there’s 3 pro-cards, the Pakistani body builders who are deprived of such chances to participate in major events this is a great opportunity for them, to prepare well and participate in this event and by winning pro-cards make their way to the Mr. Olympia.

Arif Mirza said that in Pakistan no body builder has won any pro-card there are few body builders with pro-cards but they are not living in Pakistan, more to that Pakistani body builders have not made it ahead of Mr. Pakistan competitions, and there are no international level body building events here in Pakistan. But, now body builders from Pakistan have this chance to prove their skills and move forward, also to step up from Amateur Body Building to Professional Body Building.

Arif Mirza further said that he wants Pakistani body builders to have a competent place on international level, because we don’t have any less potential body builders but due to scarcity of opportunities they are lagging far behind, now to motivate them ahead is the main mission of this event so, this is why such major event is being organized in Pakistan
