Quaid-i-Azam Games :Punjab contingent reached Islamabad

LAHORE: The 385-member Punjab contingent has reached Islamabad to participate in the 2nd edition of Quaid-i-Azam Inter-Provincial Games on Sunday.

Punjab players will feature in 19 different games during the mega event being organised at Islamabad from December 25-29, 2017. Prior to their departure, the members of Punjab contingent were upbeat about their performance in the sports extravaganza.

Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan has expressed best wishes for the Punjab contingent. “Punjab players will offer handsome performances against strong outfits of other provinces. “Our athletes will improve their performance in the Quaid-i-Azam Inter-Provincial Games,” he said this while showing his anticipation.

The Punjab contingent departed for Islamabad under the leadership of Director Sports Muhammad Anees Sheikh. The Punjab contingent was also accompanied by Deputy Director Tariq Wattoo, Assistant Director Rana Nadeem Anjum, SBP official Mustafa Shah, senior provincial coaches Nawaz Dogar and Rana Khalid.

Punjab contingent will feature in the following games: Athletics (Men/Women), Hockey (Men/Women), Football (Men/Women), Badminton (Men/Women), Baseball (Men/Women), Tennis (Men/Women), Taekwondo (Men/Women), Kabaddi (Men), Judo (Men/Women), Karate (Men/Women), Boxing (Men), Wrestling (Men), Squash (Men/Women), Volleyball (Men/Women), Netball (Men), Netball (Women), Snooker (Men) and Wushu (Women).
