Kabaddi World Cup will help a lot in enhancing passion of kabaddi among our young generation: Punjab Minister for Sports

LAHORE:National kabaddi team began its training camp for the preparation of Kabaddi World Cup 2020 at the Punjab Stadium on Monday. Pakistan’s all top kabaddi players attended the training camp being organized under the watchful eyes of top coaches.
It is pertinent to mention here that Kabaddi World Cup 2020 is being organized jointly by Punjab govt, Sports Board Punjab and Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) at three cities of Punjab Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujrat from February 9 to 16, 2020.


Moreover, the renovation work of Punjab Stadium has also started under the directives of Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti. The concerned staff checked lighting system besides completing whitewash of different parts of Punjab Stadium to hold matches of Kabaddi World Cup 2020 in a befitting manner. The workers also completed the cleaning work of Punjab Stadium and all surrounding areas.
Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti in a statement on Monday said Pakistan has plenty of young kabaddi players who will be polished at the training camp. “The upcoming Kabaddi World Cup will help a lot in enhancing passion of kabaddi among our young generation,” he added.


Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has issued special instructions regarding the rigorous training of national kabaddi players so that they can offer satisfactory performance against any side of the world in the World Cup matches.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, in a statement on Monday said: “Our kabaddi coaches have planned regular practice matches among camp trainees to give them much needed match practice and whet their kabaddi skills,” he added.


Regarding fitness of players, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said top level fitness plays key role in the success of any team in the world. “The coaches of national kabaddi team have been asked to keep a close eye on the fitness of players so that we can field a hundred per cent fit side in the forthcoming Kabaddi World Cup,” he elaborated.
