Peshawar, In a recent development, Rasul Shah, the retired joint secretary , who work as administrator of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Sports Foundation, has been relieved of his duties. The sports foundation, aimed at promoting sports and supporting athletes, has witnessed a lack of progress in its activities under Shah’s leadership. Yesterday, a decision was made to terminate him from his position.
It is worth mentioning that the sports foundation was established during the Awami National Party’s tenure, with a substantial amount of funds allocated to its bank account. The primary objective was to assist underprivileged athletes and provide them with a monthly stipend. However, despite over a decade passing since its inception, no regular meetings were held, and its performance remained undisclosed. Consequently, Rasul Shah, who had previously taken leave from his government job to work as an administer, was ultimately dismissed.
