Pakistan Sports Board has issued a cheque of financial assistance of Rs 2.5 crore to Pakistan Hockey Federation.

Secretary General of Pakistan Hockey Federation Haider Hussain received a special cheque from the Pakistan Sports Board for the grant issued by the Government of Pakistan to the Pakistan Hockey Federation for the improvement of the national sport of hockey. On this occasion, he expressed special thanks to the Government of Pakistan, Minister of Inter-Provincial Co-operation, Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari and Director General of Pakistan Sports Board, Shoaib Khoso. He said that on the request of Pakistan Hockey Federation, a special grant has been issued by the Pakistan Sports Board in connection with the arrangements regarding Pakistan’s participation in the Asian Champions

Trophy.Pakistan Hockey Federation strives for the betterment of the national game and the strong representation of Pakistan at the international level. The representation of Pakistan in the international events sent by the Pakistan Hockey Federation and the recent outstanding performance have not only been appreciated by hockey fans, but the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and PSB have also issued a special grant to Pakistan Hockey. Haider Hussain Secretary General PHF further said that Minister IPC Ihsan Mazari wants to improve the national game of hockey and he wishes that Pakistan Hockey will flourish everywhere. He had promised that Pakistan Hockey will start showing the best performance then full support will be given for the development of Pakistan Hockey.

Ehsan ur Rahman Mazari fulfilled his promise for which I am grateful. Haider Hussain said that all the victories achieved in Pakistan hockey in the past included special support from the government of Pakistan and support for the welfare of the players. Development of Pakistan Hockey and participation in international competitions is not easy without the financial support of the Government of Pakistan.

Pakistan Sports Board has issued a cheque of 25 million to Pakistan Hockey Federation. The check of the special grant from the Government of Pakistan to PHF was handed over by Director Finance and Audit PSB Faizan Janjua and Accounts Officer PSB Muhammad Akram Bhatti to Secretary General PHF Haider Hussain. Olympian Kaleemullah, Olympian Hanif Khan and Olympian Rahim Khan were also present with him on this occasion.
