Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 5 runs after a thrilling encounter.

In this match of the Super 6 stage played in Benoni, South Africa, the Pakistan U-19 team batted first and got all out for 155 runs.

The batting line of the national team could not show an impressive performance. Arafat Minhas scored 34, Shahzeb Khan scored 26 while Shamil Hussain and Ali Asfand scored 19 and 19 runs respectively.

On behalf of Bangladesh, Rohanat Borsan and Sheikh Jabon dismissed four players each while Mahfoozur Rehman got one wicket.

Bangladesh were required to chase down a target of 156 runs in 38.1 overs to knock Pakistan out of the finals race and into the last four.

Chasing the target, the Bangladeshi team was bowled out for 150 runs in 35.5 overs.

On behalf of Pakistan, Obaid Shah played a key role in the team’s victory by bowling out 5 Bangladeshi players.

Among the other bowlers, Ali Raza took three while in the final moments of the match, Muhammad Zeeshan took the last wicket to make the team win.
