University of Punjab Clinches the All Pakistan HEC Badminton Women Title
Karachi February 03, 2024 – On the final day of the 46th All Pakistan HEC Badminton Women’s Championship 2023 – 2024 the University of Punjab Clinches the title organized by Iqra University, Karachi.
In team category, University of Punjab went head to head with University of Karachi and won the their match 3-2 in a thrilling competition. Kinnaird College for Women University also won their match against Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan for 3rd position by 3-0.
In Singles event, Amal won her match for Kinnaird College for Women University by defeating University of Punjab’s Zainab in 2-0 straight set by 21-12 & 21-11 and secured the title whereas Maryum Bibi of University of Karachi secured the 3rd position title against Sapna from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.
Director Sports, Dr Syed Sheraz ul Hasan Mohani thanked all the participants for making this event a success and congratulated the winners. Ms Hajra Nawab DSO Central Karachi, Ms. Narmeena Ali KPT Sports Officer, Mr Javed Ali Memon, Director/ In-charge HEC Sports Division were also present during the closing ceremony and distributed the cash prize and trophies to the winners
