The ICCT Twenty World Cup trophy arrives in Islamabad tonight on a three-day tour of Pakistan. Apart from Islamabad, the T20 World Cup trophy will go to Abbottabad and Lahore in its three-day tour.
The T-Twin World Cup trophy will go to the National Cricket Academy Lahore on Saturday at 4:30 PM. On the same day, the trophy will be present at the Gaddafi Stadium on the occasion of the Pakistan New Zealand T20 International.
It should be remembered that the T20 World Cup will be held in America and West Indies from June 2 to 29 this year. It should be remembered that this year’s ICCT20 World Cup will be the ninth tournament of this format, which will be hosted by West Indies and America. This mega event will be played from June 1 to June 29.
55 matches of the tournament will be played at West Indies 6 and USA 3 venues. The opening match of the World Cup will be between USA and Canada..
The event will feature 20 teams divided into four groups of 5 each, with the top 2 from each group qualifying for the Super 8s. 2 teams will make it to the semi-finals.
Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group of T20 and World Cup.

Group B; England Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman
Group C; New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea
Group D; South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
Group matches of T20 World Cup will be played from June 1 to June 18, Super 8 stage will be played from June 19 to 24.
The semi-finals will be held on June 26 and 27, while the final will be held on June 29 in Barbados.
Schedule of Pakistan matches;
In the T20 World Cup group, Pakistan will play its first match against USA on June 6. The India-Pak World Cup match will be played on June 9 in New York.
Pakistan will play the third match of the group on June 11 against Canada and the fourth match against Ireland on June 16.
This will be the first time since 2010 that the T20 World Cup will be held in the West Indies. On the other hand, America will be hosting an event as big as the World Cup for the first time.
It should be noted that England is the defending champion of the tournament, having defeated Pakistan in the final of the 2022 T20 World Cup.
