Exciting competitions of First Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games 2024 commence at different venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex
Around 1,300 female athletes from 20 universities are participating in seven sports disciplines during the 4-day mega event

The exciting competitions of First Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games 2024 got under way at different sports venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Thursday.
Around 1,300 female athletes from 20 universities are participating in seven sports disciplines including badminton, table tennis, archery, basketball, athletics, hockey and cricket (tape ball) during the 4-day mega event.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial and Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal also inspected the arrangements of First Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games 2024.
The opening day athletics competitions of First Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games were held at the Punjab Stadium.
In the 100m athletics race, Khaula of Lahore College for Women University emerged winner with the time of 13.6. Sunaina of Punjab University (13.35) got the second position while Sahar Fatima of Government College University finished third with the time of 14.31.
In the 400m race, Amtul Rahman of Lahore College for Women University claimed top position with the time of 1.4.75 followed by Rida Tariq of Superior University (1.8.96) and Malaika of Punjab University (1.9.80).
in Javelin throw event, Yusra Ayub (34.12) of Government College University won the first position while the next two positions were shared by Amna Azmat of Punjab University (30-41) and Sania Mazhar of Bahauddin Zakaria University (29.10).
In the shot put competition, Noor us Saba of Punjab University secured the first position with the throw of 11.88, while Aiman Mehmood of Lahore College for Women University and Nazia Bibi of Fatima Jinnah University Rawalpindi got the second and third positions respectively.
The first day hockey matches of First CM Punjab Pink Games were played at the National Hockey Stadium. In the first match, Lahore College Women University defeated University of Lahore by a huge margin of 12-0. Areeba Sarwar of Lahore College for Women University scored six beautiful goals
while Rukhsar Aslam, Saira Murad and Laiba Yasmeen contributed 3, 2 and one goal respectively.
Bahauddin Zakaria University defeated University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) by 5-0 in the second match. Bushra Farooq and Aqsa Mehroz struck two goals while captain Noorul Ain scored one goal for victorious Bahauddin Zakariya University team.
Sharika Sarwar of Superior University stole the show when she scored 11 goals in her team’s overwhelming victory of 16-0 against University of Sargodha In the third match of the day. The remaining five goals were shared by Maryam Hanif (2 goals), Hibba tul Wadood, Abida Parveen and Aqsa Parveen (one goal each).
The basketball competitions were played at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall. In the first match, Bahauddin Zakaria University out played Home Economics University by a huge difference of 30-0. The second match was also proved a one-sided affair when FC College University defeated University of Health and Sciences by 32-2.
University of Sargodha toppled University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences by 37-4 in the third match while in the fourth match, Lahore College for Women University defeated University of Lahore by 39-19.
The cricket matches of CM Pink Games were played at Cycling Velodrome where Lahore College for Women University defeated University of Education by 6 wickets in the opening match while University of Sargodha thrashed Home Economics University by 58 runs in the second match.
