Anas Ali Shah wins Jahangir Khan PSA Satellite Squash Serie;

Karachi: Anas Ali Shah of the Pakistan Army defeated Abdullah Nawaz of Pakistan Air Force by 3 sets to 2 after an exciting and thrilling match to win the Jahangir Khan PSA Satellite Squash Series played at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex.
In the first set of the men’s senior final, Abdullah Nawaz won 11-6 against Anas Ali Shah, but in the second set, Anas won 12-10 and in the third set also, Anas won 11-6.
In the fourth set of the final, Abdullah Nawaz made a comeback winning by 11-8, making it 2-2.
In the fifth and deciding set, Anas Shah won 11-7 against Abdullah to win the grand title.
In the final of U-13 boys played in the event, Syed Yoza defeated Saif Saad by 3 sets to 1 (11-6) (11-3) (2-11) and (11-5)) to win the first position.
In the girls’ final, Sameera Shahid defeated Soha Ali in 3 sets (11-3) (11-8) and (11-9) to win the title.
It should be noted that the event was dedicated to paying tribute to the late Ustad Umar Daraz, the first coach of squash legend Jahangir Khan.
In the prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest was Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan- Jahangir Khan Squash Complex Manager OIC Mohammad Umar, Media Advisor of Pakistan Olympic Association Asif Azeem along with the tournament referee Naveed Alam distributed trophies, medals and certificates to the successful players.
