Pakistan’s Under-12 Tennis Prodigies Arrive in Singapore for WT Asia Finals

By Nawaz Gohar ; Pakistan’s most promising young tennis talents touched down in Singapore on September 13, ready to showcase their skills against the continent’s finest in the WT Asia 12 & Under Team Competition Finals, running from September 15 to 20, 2026.

The national squad features rising junior stars Muhammad Aayan, Muhammad Faizan, and Muhammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill, guided by team captain Heera Ashiq.

Pakistan earned its berth in the prestigious continental showcase following a standout campaign at the regional qualifying event in Nepal earlier this April. Finishing as tournament runners-up, the squad demonstrated exceptional grit and technical finesse to secure qualification among Asia’s top youth teams.

Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-Din Tufail, and the federation management extended their best wishes to the young delegation as they prepare for opening matches.

“Our young athletes have earned their place among the continent’s elite through sheer discipline and resilience,” stated the PTF leadership. “We hold full confidence in their ability to compete with pride, discipline, and sportsmanship on this international stage.”

With high expectations and thorough preparatory groundwork, the Pakistani contingent enters the competition aiming to make a strong mark for junior sports development in the region.
