Pakistan Cycling Federation Addresses Misrepresentation of Former Secretary

Peshawar – September 28, 2023 – The Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) wishes to officially address a matter of great concern. It has come to our attention that Mr. Muzzam Khan, the former Secretary of the Pakistan Cycling Federation, continues to represent himself as the Secretary of the PCF even after the recent elections.

On September 15, 2023, the PCF conducted its democratic and transparent election process in Islamabad, where Mr. Haroon General was duly elected as the new Secretary General of the Pakistan Cycling Federation. The election process was conducted in accordance with our constitution and under the supervision of independent observers to ensure fairness and integrity.

We would like to emphasize that Mr. Muzzam Khan no longer holds any official position within the Pakistan Cycling Federation. Any claims or actions taken by him in the capacity of Secretary of the PCF are not valid and are in direct contravention of our constitution and election results.

The Pakistan Cycling Federation is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of governance in the sport of cycling in Pakistan. We urge all stakeholders, including the media, sponsors, and the general public, to recognize Mr. Haroon General as the legitimate Secretary General of the PCF.

We also advise Mr. Muzzam Khan to respect the democratic process and the will of the members as expressed in the recent election.
