27th match of Pakistan Super League Season 9, Islamabad United qualified for the play-off stage by defeating Multan Sultans after a thrilling match.
Islamabad United became the third team to qualify for the play-off stage.

Playing first, Multan Sultans set a target of 229 runs to Islamabad United in the allotted 20 overs, Islamabad United achieved the target on the last ball of the 20th over for the loss of 7 wickets.
On behalf of Islamabad United, Colin Munro played an unbeaten innings of 84 runs off 40 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 5 sixes. Captain Shadab Khan scored 54 runs,
Faheem Ashraf scored 23 runs, Haider Ali scored 19 runs. While Salman Ali Agha 2 and Alex Hales could not make any score. United’s Imad Wasim remained not out with 30 and Naseem Shah with one score.

Sultans Usman Khan’s 100 not out innings off 50 balls could not make the team win, Johnson Charles scored 42, Yasir Khan 33, captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 20 and Iftikhar Ahmed scored 13 while Chris Jordan scored 15. Not out with runs.
On behalf of Islamabad United, Faheem Ashraf sent 2 while Naseem Shah and Haneen Shah sent one player each to the pavilion.
