Pakistan Volleyball Rising on the Global Horizon – A Performance to Celebrate!

The history of sports in Pakistan has always been built on sacrifice, passion, and relentless hard work. At a time when many sports federations appear directionless and without vision, the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) has emerged as a shining example.
The planning, dedication, and achievements displayed by the federation in 2025 have become a new ray of hope in Pakistan’s sporting landscape. From Islamabad to Uzbekistan, Bahrain, and Argentina, Pakistan not only participated in international training camps and tournaments but also brought home medals.
The most remarkable and historic victory came in July 2025, when Pakistan’s U16 team won the Asian U16 Championship Gold Medal—the nation’s first-ever Asian gold in any age group. Alongside this, the senior men’s team clinched Silver in the AVC Nations Cup and Bronze in the CAVA Nations League. These achievements prove that Pakistan volleyball is no longer just a sport, but a national symbol of growth and progress.
Behind this success stands the pivotal leadership of Chairman Ch. Yaqoob, whose vision and determination have shaped Pakistan volleyball into a disciplined and competitive structure. With the support of foreign coaches and specialists from Iran and Italy, the team’s fitness, technique, and tactical analysis have reached new levels.
This modern training system enabled Pakistan’s youth teams to defeat powerhouses such as the USA, Belgium, and Turkey—an extraordinary accomplishment on the world stage.
Volleyball is a sport deeply rooted in Pakistan’s rural areas and now gaining rapid popularity in urban regions, especially among women. Recognizing this, PVF has appointed an international coach for the women’s national team, which is currently preparing for the 2026 South Asian Games in Pakistan.
This is the moment when the Government of Pakistan must step forward with special grants and facilities for PVF. More international opportunities should be provided for Pakistani coaches and officials to acquire modern knowledge and innovative training techniques. If this momentum is supported, Pakistan volleyball has the potential to break into the world’s Top 12 teams by the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The PVF’s efforts are proof that with vision, planning, and honesty, no dream is impossible. Volleyball has already surprised the world, and with continued support, this very spirit will raise Pakistan’s flag proudly in the Olympic arena.
