By Nawaz Gohar ; Abdullah Khurram Niazi is set to conclude his tenure at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), with sources confirming that this Sunday will mark his final day in office.

Ahead of his departure, Niazi issued a heartfelt farewell message to domestic coaches, acknowledging their pivotal role in the country’s cricketing ecosystem.

In his parting statement, Niazi lauded the coaches as the “backbone” of Pakistan’s cricket structure. He expressed deep gratitude for their collaboration over the past two years, emphasizing the professional growth he experienced through their collective expertise.

“It has been a profound honor to work alongside all of you over the last two years,” Niazi stated. “Together, we have strived to elevate the standard of cricket across Pakistan. I truly admire the dedication, commitment, and passion you have demonstrated at every level.”

Reflecting on his term, Niazi highlighted several key initiatives aimed at modernizing the sport. He noted that his primary focus remained on:

Establishing a performance-based culture within the domestic circuit.
Strengthening the existing cricket infrastructure.

Revitalizing school cricket to ensure a steady pipeline of grassroots talent.
Implementing systemic improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
