CAP Elections to Be Held on February 15 Under Supervision of Sports Board Punjab
Multan : The Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) has officially announced the election schedule for its Executive Council for the term 2026–2030. According to the issued notification, the elections will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
The venue for the elections has been set as Grand Anmol, Main Boulevard, New Garden Town, Lahore.
As per the announcement, the elections will be conducted in accordance with the CAP Constitution, the rules and regulations of Sports Board Punjab, and the National Sports Policy.
The election process will be supervised by Mustafa Shah, who has been nominated as the Election Commissioner and Observer by Sports Board Punjab.
Other members of the Election Commission include Advocate Malik Shahid Iqbal, Assistant Attorney General for Pakistan, and Dr. Safdar Baloch, PhD in Sports Sciences.
These elections are being organized in light of Article 26 of the CAP Constitution, the Executive Council resolution dated January 12, 2026, and directives issued by Sports Board Punjab.
In the official statement released by CAP Secretary General Raja Gohar Iqbal, it was stated that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure transparent and fair elections.
