Wildcard Sindh’s Hassan Paracha defeats fourth seed Qasim Noorani

Karachi ; The first upset of the Jahangir Khan PSA Series Challenger Squash Tournament took place in city.

According to tournament director Naveed Alam, the five-day event is underway at the Jahangir Khan Sports Club in collaboration with Atif Wasi and Family.

Wild card holder Hassan Paracha of Sindh outclassed Qasim Noorani of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3-0 in just twelve minutes. Hassan Paracha’s winning score was 11-7, 11-2 and 11-2. With the win, Hassan made it to the quarterfinals.

In other matches of the second round, Tayyab Aslam of Sui Northern Gas Company defeated Muhammad Zaman of Sui Northern Gas Company by three games each.

Azan Ali of Pakistan Army defeated Abdul Basit of Sui Northern Gas Company. Varun Asif of Punjab defeated Israr Ahmed of Sui Northern Gas Company. Saddam ul Haq of Pakistan Army won against Sikandar Khan of Sindh.

Punjab’s Sakhiullah defeated Sindh’s Abdul Basit by three games to two after an exciting match. Punjab’s Khaqan Malik defeated Sindh’s Naveed Rehman.

The quarter-final matches will begin at 12:00 noon on Thursday. The final of the event with a prize money of $3,000 will be played on July 26
