Varun Asif and Saddam ul Haq face defeat in semi-final
Karachi (Sports Reporter) Top seeds Tayyab Aslam and Muhammad Imad have qualified for the final of the 9th Jahangir Khan PSA Series Challenger Squash Tournament.
According to tournament director Naveed Alam, the five-day event, organized by Atif Wasi and Family, has entered its final stages at the Jahangir Khan Sports Club.
In the first semi-final played on Friday, Tayyab Aslam of Sui Northern Gas Company outclassed Varun Asif of Punjab by 3-0. Tayyab Aslam won by scores of 11-2, 11-4 and 11-0 in 22 minutes.
In the second semi-final, Muhammad Imad of Pakistan Air Force defeated Saddam ul Haq of Pakistan Army by three games to one.
Muhammad Imad’s winning score in the forty-nine minute match was eleven five, six eleven, fourteen twelve and eleven eight.
The final of the event with a prize money of $3,000 will be played at 4:00 PM today, Saturday, with Atif Wasi as the special guest.
