Ju-Jitsu Training Seminar Successfully Held at the Consulate-General of Japan, Karachi
Karachi: The Fourth Ju-Jitsu Training Seminar, organized by the Sindh Ju-Jitsu Association (SJJA) in collaboration with the Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi, concluded successfully. The closing ceremony was held in a dignified manner at the Consulate premises.
The seminar brought together Pakistan’s top Ju-Jitsu athletes, including prominent competitors from Sindh. World-ranking athletes, Asian medalists, and international medal winners participated in the event, reflecting the growing standard of Ju-Jitsu in Pakistan.
During the seminar, athletes received advanced technical and tactical training aimed at enhancing their performance at the highest competitive level. The program concluded with an impressive live demonstration showcasing the athletes’ skills, discipline, and high-level techniques, which were greatly appreciated by the distinguished guests.
The Honorable Consul General of Japan, Mr. HATTORI Masaru, attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. Mr. Munwar Ali Mehaser, Secretary, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, participated as the Guest of Honor. Other distinguished attendees included Mr. Tariq Ali, President of Sindh Ju-Jitsu Association;
Brigadier Jahangir Ahmed, Patron of Sindh Mixed Martial Arts Association; Deputy Consul General Mr. Nakagawa; and District Sports Officers Mr. Fareed Ali, Ms. Hajra Nawab, Mr. Ismail Shah, Mr. Sunny Pervez, and Mr. Shakeel Ahmed.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Zulfiqar Ali, President of Sindh Mixed Martial Arts Association; Mr. Javed Akhtar, DSP Korangi; and Mr. Abdul Ghani, DSP Ferozabad, along with international officials and a large number of athletes.
In his address, the Consul General of Japan highly appreciated the exceptional talent of Pakistani athletes and congratulated the Asian and international medalists as well as the association leadership on their achievements. He emphasized that sports serve as a strong bridge between nations and that martial arts promote cultural harmony.
Mr. Munwar Ali Mehaser, Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh, described the seminar as an excellent and well-organized event. He expressed pride in seeing Pakistani athletes competing at Asian and international levels and stated that such advanced training initiatives would significantly contribute to winning more international medals for Pakistan in the future.
Mr. Tariq Ali, President of Sindh Ju-Jitsu Association, thanked the Consulate-General of Japan for its valuable support and cooperation. He stated that this collaboration not only enhanced the technical development of Ju-Jitsu but also strengthened cultural ties between the two countries through sports.
The event concluded with the presentation of commemorative shields to the distinguished guests and a renewed commitment to organizing similar programs in the future.
