KARACHI : The official logo of the IMC Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup was unveiled at a ceremony held at the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) office here the other day.
The mega event is scheduled to be played in Karachi from 21st November to 1 st December, 2025. The Over-40s T20 World Cup will bring together 12 teams including Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka,
Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Canada, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the USA, and the Rest of the World XI. A total of 42 matches will be played at different venues across Karachi. All of Pakistan’s matches will be staged under floodlights, broadcast live on television, and streamed across multiple digital platforms to ensure global viewership.
Speaking on the occasion, PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan expressed his delight that Pakistan will host the inaugural edition of the Over-40s T20 World Cup. “It is a matter of great pride that this unique tournament in the T20 format is starting from Pakistan. We are determined to make it a memorable event with the best possible arrangements,” he said.
PVCA Chief explained that the logo design reflects the true spirit of cricket, its traditions, and heritage. He emphasized that since the event is centered on veteran players, the logo also embodies a sense of maturity,
dignity, and the game’s timeless values. He further highlighted that the green colour of Pakistan’s national flag has been prominently used in the logo, as it represents the nation’s cultural and sporting heritage. Pakistan’s official team kit for the tournament will also feature this colour.
In addition to the on-field action, the PVCA has also planned a series of off-field activities to enrich the tournament experience.
These will include official dinners, golf sessions, and recreational outing such as picnic for the participating teams. Mr Khan expressed confidence that the event will not only deliver thrilling cricket for fans but also promote sports tourism and showcase Pakistan’s renowned hospitality to the world.
