F1 Races in Middle East Uncertain
The Formula 1 Grands Prix scheduled for next month in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia face potential cancellation due to the widening regional conflict.

Iran Withdraws from FIFA World Cup
Iran has officially decided to withdraw from this year’s FIFA World Cup, which is set to be hosted by the United States.

Responding to the withdrawal, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that while he would have welcomed the Iranian national team to the tournament (hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico), their presence in America would not be “appropriate” for their own safety and lives. Iran had already qualified for the 48-team tournament, which begins on June 11, with two group matches scheduled in Los Angeles and one in Seattle.

Paralympic Participation Hit
Travel disruptions at several Middle Eastern airports have made it difficult for athletes to reach the “Milano Cortina Winter Paralympic Games.” Additionally, the International Paralympic Committee announced on March 6 that Iran will not be participating in the 2026 Winter Paralympics.
