PBF Drawing Room Election Strategy Ruined by HC, Coach Razi
By Nawaz Gohar ; A historic decision released by Islamabad High Court on yesterday 6th November 2026 when respected judge Muhammad Azam Khan declared that the election of Pakistan Badminton Federation held on 24.10.2025 are illegal, unlawful, void an-initio and of no legal effect.
HC directed to Pakistan Sports Board to hold and conduct fresh election strictly in accordance of Rule-17 of the constitution of Pakistan Sports Board, 2022 and the Sports Election Regulation, 2024 through its notified Election Commission.
The entire process from announcement of schedule to final notification shall be completed within a period of 90 days. The election process from Clubs to National level will be renewed accordingly.
In the meantime to ensure the smooth function and management of the affairs of PBF, an Ad-hoc Committee is set up to take charge comprising on:
- Additional Secretary, Ministry of IPC Islamabad.
- Director, National Federation PSB, Islamabad (Member)
- Four Ex-National Champion Badminton Players, one from each province (Member)
The interim Setup is responsible to manage its functions, the preparation of national teams for international events, until the election be held and new body officially assumes office.
International Badminton Coach, Raziuddin Ahmad applaud the decision of High Court and said it will promote badminton in the country and opportunity to the genuine honest people to be elected from Clubs, District, Division, Provincial and the National level.
The HC judgment discarded the drawing election policy of the President PBF Wajid Ali Ch who is habitual of this shameful act to constitute bogus bodies with the help of his like-minded people since long. He never conducted training camps for the youth, enjoys grants,
Shuttlecocks and subsidies from Badminton Asia and BWF and never presented its FC account details to PSB Coach Razi added.
I congratulate, Imtiaz Gill the Ex- Secretary PBF and Athar Khan the President Bhawalnagar District Association who were remained confident and determine during the whole process fighting with the sprit at each level and finally succeeded.
The case was successfully dealt by the worthy Barrister M. Usama Sami and Muhammad Fahad Khokar, Advocate who turned the victory for the Pakistani Badminton Community.
The HC order passed in the presence of PBF Secretary Raja Azhar Mahmood who failed to support his federation’s fake elections that proved illegal during the whole process of the verdict.
