Islamabad (20 September 2025): Public News clinched a comprehensive 9-wicket victory over 92 News in the second match of the 2nd RSJA Intermedia Cricket Tournament, played at the National Cricket Ground, Islamabad.
Winning the toss, 92 News opted to bat first and managed 107-9 in their allotted 15 overs. M. Fahim Akhtar scored 34 runs while Naveed contributed 20. For Public News, Usman Mughal starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 18, while Armaan bagged 2 and Muhammad Umair chipped in with 1 wicket.
In reply, Public News chased down the target with ease, reaching 111-1 in just 12.2 overs. Muhammad Umair played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 52 runs off 25 balls, well supported by Anwer Raza (19) and Muhammad Irshad (21).
For his outstanding all-round performance, Muhammad Umair was named Player of the Match.
