Pakistan men’s team to Sri Lanka – important media information

The Pakistan men’s cricket team will depart for Colombo in the wee hours of Wednesday to play two ICC World Test Championship fixtures, which will be held from 16-20 July in Galle and 24-28 July in Colombo.

 

The following is the important information for the media wishing to cover and follow the national side. The information below is subject to any last-minute changes, which will be communicated through the PCB’s official WhatsApp communication channel.

 

The PCB will upload practice and training videos, which can be downloaded directly from the PCB YouTube Channel and used strictly for editorial purposes. Written features and match previews/reviews will be available at www.pcb.com.pk, which the print and web publications will be free to use.

The following is the national side’s training and media interaction schedule (Sri Lanka time, which is 30 minutes ahead of Pakistan):

 

7 July – The national side is scheduled to hold a practice session at the Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground from 1400. Afterwards, a squad member will be available for a brief stand-up media talk.

 

8 & 9 July – The national side is scheduled to train at P. Sara Oval from 1400.

 

10 July – The national side is scheduled to train at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium from 1000. Afterwards, a squad member will be available for a brief stand-up media talk.

 

11-13 July – Pakistan will play a three-day warm-up at Colombo Colts Cricket Club. After the conclusion of the match, the side will move to Galle.

 

14 July – Pakistan is scheduled to train at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from 1000.

 

15 July – Pakistan is scheduled to train at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from 1400. Pakistan captain will be available for pre-series media conference and captains’ pre-series photo-shoot with the trophy. The SLC media team will confirm timing closer to the two events.

 

16-20 July – First Test will be played in Galle, with the first ball to be bowled at 0930 Sri Lanka time (0900 PKT time). At the end of each day’s play, a member of the Pakistan side will hold post-day’s play media conference.

 

21 July – Pakistan will travel to Colombo for the second and final Test

 

22 July – Pakistan is scheduled to hold a training session from 1000 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.

 

23 July – Pakistan is scheduled to train at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium from 1400. Pakistan captain Babar Azam will hold a pre-match media conference with  the SLC media team to confirm time closer to the activity

 

24-28 July – Second Test will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, with the first ball to be bowled at 0930 Sri Lanka time (0900 PKT time). At the end of each day’s play, a member of the Pakistan side will hold post-day’s play media conference.
