The Pindiz denies ownership remarks on M Rizwan, threatens legal action
ISLAMABAD: The Pindiz has issued an official statement strongly refuting reports and comments attributed to its owner, Mr. M. Ahsan Tahir, concerning star cricketer Muhammad Rizwan and the ongoing National Crime Agency (NCCIA) matter.
Labeling the published quotes as complete fabrications, the franchise clarified that Mr. Tahir has not spoken on the issue. “To be unequivocally clear: Mr. Tahir has issued no statement whatsoever on this matter,” the franchise stated. “The remarks published and attributed to him were not made by him and are entirely fabricated.”
The franchise revealed it has formally approached the media outlet responsible for publishing the false remarks. The Pindiz has demanded an immediate retraction of the fake attribution, a full printed correction, and a formal public apology from the media organization.
Highlighting the severity of unauthorized comments being assigned to top leadership, The Pindiz indicated that it is prepared to pursue legal remedies to safeguard the brand’s standing.
“We take the unauthorised fabrication and attribution of statements to our ownership seriously,” the statement added. “The Pindiz reserves all rights and will take such measures as may be appropriate to protect the reputation and interests of Mr. Tahir and the organisation.”
