In the World Cup 2023, Australia won the match by 309 runs by bowling out the Netherlands for just 90 runs thanks to the centuries of David Warner and Glenn Maxwell.

In the match played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Australian captain Pete Cummins decided to test the batsmen first on a batting-friendly wicket. Mitchell Marsh returned to the pavilion after scoring only 9 runs.

However, after that, Steven Smith came to support David Warner and both of them put on a 132-run partnership for the second wicket, batting well.

Netherlands had a chance to take Warner’s wicket with the score on 90 as a misunderstanding between the wickets resulted in both batsmen gathering at the same end, but the ball slipped out of the hands of the Netherlands fielder, giving Warner Got a chance to get back to the crease.

Smith also took a slightly more aggressive approach and became Aryan Dutt’s wicket after scoring 71 runs with a six and nine fours.

However, from the other end, David Warner continued his good batting streak and scored a century in the second match in a row and added 88 runs for the third wicket along with Marnes Labushin.

Marnis Labushin played an innings of 62 runs off 47 balls with the help of two sixes and 7 fours and he also returned to the pavilion on a total score of 244.

The new batsman Josh Ingles could also score only 14 runs while David Warner’s innings of 104 runs with 3 sixes and 11 fours ended.

The Australians were not even able to cope with these losses as Cameron Greene walked after scoring 8 runs and the Australian team lost six players for 290 runs.

With Green’s dismissal, Australia’s hopes of a big score seemed to have faded, but at the other end, Glenn Maxwell came into the field in a different mood.

The aggressive Australian batsman changed the map of the match and turned the ODI match into a T20I by creating havoc with the Netherlands bowlers in the next 7 overs.

Maxwell, along with Cummins, formed a partnership of 103 runs off 43 balls and scored the fastest century of the World Cup by raining sixes and fours.

Maxwell scored a century off just 40 balls that included 8 sixes and 9 fours and was dismissed after scoring 106 off 44 balls.

Maxwell’s aggressive batting can be gauged from the fact that Australia scored 133 runs in the last 10 overs of the innings, thanks to which Australia scored 399 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

On behalf of the Netherlands, Logan van Beek was the most successful bowler with four wickets, while Boss De Lede took two wickets for 115 runs.

One change has been made to the Australian team for the match, with Cameron Green replacing all-rounder Marcus Stoins, while the Netherlands retained the final XI from the previous match.

Chasing the target, Max O’Dowd and Vikramjeet Singh gave the team a 28-run start but Mitchell Starc bowled Max to give his team their first win.

The Netherlands team could not recover from the loss as Vikram Jeet’s innings of 25 runs came to an end on Maxwell’s direct throw in an attempt to get a quick run.

The score had just increased by 10 runs when Colin Ackerman walked on Hazelwood’s kick ball, while captain Pat Cummins from the other end ended Boss De Leda’s innings.
The series of wickets had not yet stopped when Mitchell Marsh came to the wicket and put a full stop to Sai Brand’s innings of 11 runs.

Skipper Scott Edwards and Teja Ndamanuru added 20 runs for the sixth wicket, but Marsh took another catch at this stage and returned Teja, who scored 14 runs, to the pavilion.

After the fall of six wickets, the Australian spinner took the field and in just two overs, the rest of the Dutch batting line-up was wrapped up.

The Netherlands team was bowled out for just 90 runs and Australia won by 309 runs for the biggest victory of the World Cup.

On behalf of Australia, Adam Zampa took four wickets while Mitchell Marsh took two wickets. Glenn Maxwell, who made the fastest century in 40 balls in the match, was declared the man of the match for the match. Both teams consisted of these players.
