The final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played between India and New Zealand in Dubai today. It should be noted that on March 2, India also played the third match against New Zealand at the Dubai Cricket Stadium,

where India defeated New Zealand by 44 runs. On March 4, in the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, India defeated Australia by 4 wickets to reach the final.

In the second semi-final played in Lahore on March 5, New Zealand defeated South Africa by 50 runs to reach the final. Before the final to be hosted in Pakistan after 29 years, New Zealand has suffered a big blow.

The inclusion of important Kiwi bowler Matt Henry, who has performed prominently in almost all the matches of the Champions Trophy, is unexpected in the final.

It should be remembered that Matt Henry has taken the most wickets in the Champions Trophy 2025 with 10 wickets, while he took 5 wickets in the group match against India.

During the semi-final against South Africa played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Matt Henry fell while trying to take a catch, after which he suffered a shoulder injury.

According to the Kiwi management, a decision on Matt Henry’s participation in the final has not yet been made, however, captain Mitchell Santner is confident about his bowler’s participation in the match.
