Pakistan Football team set to begin training camp

The Pakistan national football team will begin its training camp in Lahore tomorrow (March 13) in preparation for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier away leg against Syria. The fixture is scheduled to take place on March 25 in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia.

The training camp will initially be led by Sajjad Mehmood along with Nouman Ibrahim as goalkeeper coach and Muhammad Ali Khan as fitness trainer with head coach Stephen Constantine taking charge upon his arrival in Pakistan. All domestically based players have reported to the camp in Lahore, where they will undergo rigorous training sessions.

The camp will later be shifted to Saudi Arabia for the final phase of preparations ahead of the encounter against Syria. The foreign-based national players will join the team directly in Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan is placed in Group E of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers alongside Syria, Afghanistan, and Myanmar.
